“When I look at a landscape and see the myriad of designs formed by nature, it delights me. A writer endeavours to arrange words to describe something miraculous—I set about translating the earth rhythms onto paper, and my vision is only surpassed when the pencil lines are replaced by colour.”
Born and educated in England, Pam came to Canada in 1959. She has travelled widely throughout Europe, England, the US, the Caribbean, Mexico and Canada. Pam is especially fond of the Canadian Arctic, painting the land and its people, travelling to fish camp by komatik over the arctic ocean winter ice and to whale camp on Gary Island in the Beaufort sea by boat in summer. She has sketched and painted extensively in Newfoundland and the Maritimes, on the coast of British Columbia, and across the wide and sweeping prairie.
